MA in Theology The KMI Institute of Theology and Cultures offers an MA in Theology by research and thesis. Duration: Twenty-one months (or two academic years) from the date of admission to the Master's Register. Entry: Approved Bachelor Degree (minimum second class honours) in field of studies related to the subject matter of the Master Degree. Applications are also considered from candidates Candidates work through the Director of Postgraduate Studies, who facilitates them in a choice of a research director. All applications for the Master Degree must be approved by the National Council for Educational Awards before the commencement of research. The KMI offers an expertise in serious and creative theological work, gained through the combined inter-cultural experience of its teaching body. Through its research degrees, it contributes to the discussion within the Irish Church on new and emerging cultural issues, and on how these enter into dialogue with the gospel. Its cross-cultural environment offers a context for the study of faith and culture, whether for Ireland or elsewhere.
