Werewolf? There—there wolf…in the guise of Oz, the sweet yet no-nonsense musician-werewolf played by Seth Green on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Green has been a prolific professional actor since age six, when he appeared in the first of countless TV commercials. The younger of two children of father Herbert, a math teacher, and Barbara, an artist (he has an older sister, Kaela), the red-haired Billy Mumy lookalike appeared on Saturday Night Live when he was nine, and made his film debut soon afterward as young Egg in The Hotel New Hampshire (1984). One early break saw him playing the young-Woody-Allen surrogate, Joe, in Allen's Radio Days (1987). Green first appeared on Buffy as a guest on the second-season episode "Inca Mummy Girl" (Oct. 6, 1997) and became a recurring player before joining as a cast-member in season three. His other current trademark role: Scott Evil, surly son of Dr. Evil (Mike Myers) in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) and its 1999 sequel. Green appeared, uncredited, as Selby, in the Will Smith thriller Enemy of the State (1998). With actor friends Breckin Meyer and Ryan Phillippe, Green formed a production company in spring 1999. He's no apparent relation to frequent Buffy director Bruce Seth Green, and his onscreen band, Dingoes Ate My Baby, is actually dubbed by real band Four Star Mary.

Green had a role in the original movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), but his small part, as a vampire "geek" in one scene with Paul Reubens, wound up being cut.
