Pakistan - Large

Many spectacular views are but a short walk away off the Karakoram Highway in the north of Pakistan. Black dirt covers most of the glacier below me.


There are some interesting bridges like this one near Passu. At a fast pace it took a full ten minutes for me to cross this one.

The view from Abdegar, a stiff hike from Passu (the green area to the right across the river), with a great view of the opposing mountains and glacier.


The Hunza valley is a beautiful sight when viewed from Eagle's Nest. Mt. Rakaposhi. 7,788m, is visible (overexposed) in the centre.


This mountain lake was so clear that you can see down to its colourful bottom.


This bus is decorated in a fashion typical of Pakistani buses and trucks.
