Our sixth class took part in Challenge to Change 2008, the development education project run by Presentation Education office for Presentation Schools nationwide. This was the second year of our involvement in this project. This provides a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of global inequality and to play a part in making our world a better one for all its citizens. 'There's no place like Home' was this year's title for our project. We looked at the issue of homelessness at home and abroad.

Sixth class put on a drama to explain the issue of homelessnes to younger classes.

After a very enjoyable Youth Service before Christmas our Carol Singers took to the streets to bring some Christmas cheer.

On their journey they visited the enchanting display in Lonergans Bar where they encountered a blizzard, reindeer and great spirit. The local generosity together with in-school fundraising the next day raised over ONE THOUSAND EURO. This money will be used in conjunction with this years Challenge to Change project to aid the Homeless. We extend our thanks to all who contributed or played a part.
