History
The Pioneer Total Abstinence
Association of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was founded in 1898 by Fr. James A.
Cullen, S.J., a Wexford born priest.
The Central Office of the P.T. A. A. is
at 27 Upper Sherrard Street, Dublin 1.
The Pioneer Association publishes a
monthly magazine entitled "Pioneer" which is available from your
parish centre or direct from Central Office.

The three basic rules of membership of the Association
are:
(i)
to abstain from alcoholic drink;
(ii)
to recite the Heroic Offering;
(iii)
to wear the Pioneer Pin.
