Traveller Pre-school Integration Project

In 2009 funding was received from the Dormant Accounts fund through the Department of Education to fund integration workers to work with the Traveller community to encourage the participation of Traveller children in pre-school services. These workers provide an outreach service to the Traveller community providing a 'Toy Box Project'. Children are given access to resources similar to that enjoyed at pre-school while the worker engages with the parents and promotes the importance of pre-school for children.
