St. Anne’s School has been endeavouring for as number of years to gain funding from the Department of Education and Science for the provision of additional class rooms , library and computer room as well as staff and other facilities . The number of pupils within the catchment area of the school has increased substantially over the next number of years and is set to continue.  The school was delighted to learn in early 2002 from the then Minister for Education and Science,  Dr. Michael Woods T.D. that funding would be given and that the “ sod would be turned “ before the end of 2002. To the disappointment of everyone in the school -  teachers,  parents and pupils  - nothing has happened since then and the school is  going into another year without proper and adequate facilities.

St. Anne’s has been to the fore of setting up a new organisation  “ TLC “ meaning  Tuismitheoiri  agus Teagascoiri Le Cheile   and its aim is to lobby the Minister for Education and Science to provide more funding for the Primary school building programme. TLC is now a nationwide group .
