There are more than 15 clubs in our community. Galway City Harriers hold Athletics in
Daingean on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Liam Mellows Hurling Club train groups
on Saturdays and weekdays. Laser Swimming Club have training sessions on Wednesdays,
Thursdays and Fridays. Foyle Rovers train four times a week. Éire Óg Gaelic Football
Club play at Ballinfoyle twice a week. The Girl Guides, Brownies and Ladybirds have meetings in St Mary`s Hall Monday, Wednesday and Thursday . The local Foróige Club meet in St.Mary’s Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday. Castlegar Athletic Club train in Daingean on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Many children in the school have successfully competed with Galway City Harriers during the last year..The children in 4th, 5th and 6th competed recently in the county cross-country championships in Renmore. .Last year the school won three gold medals and numerous other silver and bronze medals. |
