For the last 8
years our school has gone on foreign trips to many countries in Europe.We have visited
Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and England.This year the school is travelling to
Manchester and England. They will visit Old Trafford, The Museum of Science and Industry,
Coronation Street and Alton Towers Fun Park. Mr. Kilbane and a group of teachers will
travel with us. Over 30 children from our school usually travel on these trips. All our
classes go on school tours in May and June. In April 2000 the school
embarked on a guided tour of France.The tour began in Normandy.We proceded to Paris
where they saw the Arc De Triomphe, Napoleon's Tomb, Monmartre, The Place De La Concorde
and The Eiffel Towers amongst other places.They also got the opportunity to see The
Louvre Museum, Cite Des Sciences,Notre Dame Cathedral and The Palace Of
Versailles.This 7 day trip was thoroughly enjoyed by pupils in 5th and 6th class.
