Our school band has taken part in the
Saint Patricks Day parade for the last 10 years. The school band and Majorette Corp
have been a major feature of the parade in Galway and have won numerous awards. We
practice once a week in the school to prepare for the big day. All the teachers help us by
teaching us the selection of tunes that we play. Over 250
children take part in the parade. Mrs. Dillon, Mr .O Se, Mr.Browne, Ms. Farrelly,Mr.
Kilbane,Pauline Eagney and Margaret O Shea prepares the band and majorettes and the
flag section . Many of the parents have worked very hard over the years to provide
instruments and band uniforms. They come in each year before the parade to fit each child
with hats and uniforms.

PATRICK'S DAY 2002
Unfortunately the parade had to be cancelled because of foot and
mouth but we will be entering entering again in 2002.This year we won the best
