[1545] Catherine was living with her son Samuel on the 1900 census. It gaveinformation that Catharine Gottlieb immigrated to the USA in 1850.She had 9 children (7 were living in 1900). She and her parents wereborn in Germany. Last residence (her son's home) appeared to be 44Koons Ave, Buffalo, Erie co., NY.

Stuart and sister Irene, and other family members.She worked as Principal Teacher for many years in the MansfieldOrphan School, set up for children of Civil War vets. She diedsuddenly at home on a Sunday in Mar. 1890, age 43.

My will is made and is locked in Mr. Pitt's safe and the keyis lost. So I cannot get it. Therefore, I write this on this paper asa codicil. I want Irene to use all I leave as she pleases. If whenshe dies there is anything left, I want it equally divided betweenRebecca Stone and Hart Stuart. I happened to pick this up just nowJan. 25 and think though I am well now, and it is dark here so I canhardly see, 'we know not what a day may bring forth'."

First married Catherine Gekeler and had a daughter Dorothy with her.He was soon widowed and married Veronica "Fanny" Gekeler and hadchildren Dorothea (b. 1849), Anna Maria Z. Marquart (b. 1850), PhilipII (b. 1853, married Anna Wagner), Catherine Z. Knoche (b. 1858),Franklin (b. 1855, married Lisette Sommer), Caroline Z. Hummel (b.1858), Albert (b, 1859, married Matilda Sommers), Daniel (b. 1863 died1864). Philip Zurbrick had a grist mill in Cheektowaga.
Mormon files show a Margaret Maria Zurbrick, b. 1862, as a child ofPhillip & Fanny.
