[354] From Civil War pension files: Henry enlisted June 6, 1861 at CampDenison, Ohio in Co. G, 6th Reg. of the Ohio Vol. Infantry. Had beenliving in Elizabethtown, Hamilton co., Ohio before enlisting and wasoccupied as a blacksmith. He was discharged June 23, 1864 at CampDenison, Ohio and lived in Elizabethtown, Hamilton co., Ohio until1882, then moved to Eggertsville, Erie co., NY until 1884, then movedto Buffalo, Erie co., NY. Not occupied in 1902. In 1902 he was age65, his height was 5ft 10.5in, weight 100lbs., hair gray, complexiondark, with dark brown scars on right leg. His address in 1902 was 197E. North St., Buffalo, NY. His brother John married Henry'ssister-in-law. Henry's comrade during the Civil War was DeWitt C.Hayes, probably a relative on his wife's maternal Hayes side.
