Fred Stone lived on Henry St. in Montour Falls, NY c1910 and later.The house is still there on the NW corner of Henry Street and thestreet running west to Shepard Niles Co.
Fred Stone's Obituary--
"Well Known Resident of Montour Falls Dies. [special to TheAdvertiser] Aug. 20, 1913
Fred E. Stone, of Montour Falls, passed away this afternoon at about3:30 o'clock after a brief illness of less than forty-eight hours. Mr.Stone was well and favourably known throughout Schuyler County. He wasa prominent member of the Methodist Episcopal church, also of theKnights of Pythias and Odd Fellow lodges. His untimely demise came asa shock to his many friends and relatives. Notice of the funeral willbe made later."
In the 1900 Montour census, when Fred was married about 4 yrs., he andwife Libbie (MacDougal) were living in the household with hisunmarried aunts Iva J. Stone and Sarah I. Stone (daughters of GarryStone). Fred was farming then. They lived about 6 doors away fromFred's father Charles Stone and Fred's uncle John Stone. Fred'sbrother Jay Stone was living with Charles in that census.
