ST. PAUL'S GRAVEYARD MAP
The pages on St. Paul's Churchyard, Bray are copied by Bruce Chandler, with kind permission of Rev. Baden Stanley, rector of Christchurch, Bray, from the work of the late Canon G. D. Scott, author of THE STONES OF BRAY, who was rector of Christchurch, Bray from 1912 until his death in 1950.
This work starts on the previous page - GO TO NEXT PAGE LEFT - with an alphabetical index of all names in St. Paul's graveyard, compiled by Canon Scott from the headstones and church burial register.
St. Paul's Graveyard by Canon Scott
List of the graves made from such information as was obtainable in 1897 and 1898 A.D. by G.D. Scott.
N.B. The numbers correspond with the numbers marked in red on the graveyard plan made in September 1897, of which the
original hangs in the Vestry at S.Paul's Church, and a tracing made by F.B. Craig Esq. is to be kept with this book in the safe at the Parish Church.

G.D. Scott
My chief authority in making this compilation besides Headstones and living memories, was a list drawn up by Rev.J.A. Cross in 1878 or 1879.
He must have got his information chiefly from John Dearden, sexton from 1871. John Matthews, sexton from 1846, had died in 1876.
See 141 and 350. This list is frequently referred to as "J.A. C."

31.	This & 32 (see below) were discovered, when the stone of 32 was raised in July
1898, to be a large bricked double grave. Two children of Mrs. Trevor, as well
as her mother Mrs. Arthur, have been buried in the grave. Mrs. Trevor has
since obtained an order to be buried here. Her grave therefore must be opened
immediately to the South of the stone, without moving the stone itself. Mrs. Trevor buried here Nov. 26 1907. Headstone moved to centre of grave. Granite covering stone removed. (Subsequently placed over Hunt grave 267.) [ There are two letters inserted here:- 36 Dawson St Dublin 13th June /98 Revd.
