N.B. This burial is not entered in the Register, but appears
to be the first in the grave, as the record of it occupies
the whole of the flatstone which apparently first covered the
grave, the other names being on a headstone.

so perhaps Charles Hempenstall of Ballyman had a child buried
here in 1864:-

Charles Hempenstall himself was buried June 23 1885. 65 years
but cannot have been buried here as in 1886 John Bannister the
carman obtained this ground, and apparently it was then thought
to be unoccupied.
