QUINTA DE LA ROSA TINTO - Douro
The Bergqvist family have been shipping port since 1815. Their property, Quinta de la Rosa, is a single Quinta property located in the Douro valley near Pinhao. Awarded the prestigious Fortified Wine Producer of the Year award at the 1995 International Wine Challange, they have also pioneered the production of red wines made in consultation with the acclaimed Australian winemaker, David Baverstock. The wines are full spicy cherry and red berry fruit aromas with some chocolate and oak complexity. We are also thrilled to have finally secured a parcel of the Quinta's ports, which will be arriving on our shores in the early summer. | 1998 | £79.00 |

CHAMINE - Alentejo, Cortes de Cima
Cortes de Cima is a family owned estate of 35 hectares, located in the southern region of Alentejo. Consistent medal winners in the International Wine Challange and firm favourites with Jancis Robinson and Tim Atkin, the wines are made with traditional local varieties Aragonez, Treincadeira and Periquita. Big, juicy and highly extracted, they are full of juicy, spicy plum and damson fruit with hints of roasting coffee, in short, absolutely delicious. | 1999 | £89.50 |
