1989

U-10B Football 1989.jpg (142308 bytes)Our first win in this Under-10B division was achieved by defeating Holy Cross N.S. in Ballyduff.  Martin Hickey was captain of the team.

 

1990

U-13A hurling1990.jpg (85649 bytes)On an unforgettable night in Walsh Park the school captured two schools trophies.  We became the first rural team to win the Billy Howlett cup when we defeated Mount Sion by 8-1 to 4-1 in the final of the A division.  The team later won the Dunhill tournament.  David Kirwan was the captain of the team

U-13C hurling 1990.jpg (85860 bytes)Prior to the A final our B team were victorious in the final of the D division so giving us a unique double. Ballyduff were defeated by 7-2 to 0-1. Liam Foran was captain.

 

Skills 90.jpg (71878 bytes)We also won the Hurling Skills trophy for the second time.  Freddy Kelly also won the overall individual prize with a near perfect score of 98 / 100
