Our Energy site is go! After a lot of hard work, Energy takes it’s rightful place on the web. Designed by Dominic Kelly you can find out about our Energy Song, Evaluation, our Committee and Energetic Eddie & Healthy Henry…practically everything! We hope to keep our site updated and fresh.

Energetic Eddie & Healthy Henry

Our energy man....."Energetic Eddie" was launched by the Green School committee for our energy application and his cousin "Healthy Henry" was launched by our Healthy Eating committee.

Our Green Flag Renewal!!!

On Tuesday 27^th January, the Environmental Education Officer for Waterford County Council, who will be seeing if we can renew our Green Flag, came to our school. She attended our Green Schools Meeting, took our application, inspected how we create compost and paper logs and then bought a log! She said she was going to show it to all the schools she visited. We will have our results around March.

4^th Class are our Champions!

After six hard weeks our Evaluation finally come to an end. We evaluated all the classes Energy use, and the class which was the most efficient was our winner. We had a tie for 1^st place between three classes so we used a tie-breaker question to decide it. The closest answer came from 4^th Class, so they were our winners and received the 1^st prize, but all of the top classes received a prize as well. In January we started another Evaluation, but not as a competition format, where all the classes were put on a rota to check the classes energy use.
