Camogie is very like hurling except it is played by girls and hurling is played by boys. In hurling and camogie you use a hurley and a sliotar.

In our school we play a lot of camogie. In 1991 we won the under 13 A league. In 1995 we won the under 13 B league and in 1996 we won the under 13 A league. Unfortunately we did not win anything in 1997.

In 1998 we played in the I.N.T.O. 7-a-side. We played very well all through the tournament but we were beaten in the final by St. Saviours. Also in 1998 we played in the under 13 A league. We won our first three matches but we were beaten in the Eastern final by Dunhill.

Jacinta McGrath and I were nominated by our school to represent our school in the County Trials. We qualified to the second stage and were then among those selected to represent Waterford in Thurles before the Munster Hurling Final.

Mrs. Galvin, Mr. Cashin and Mrs. O’Donoghue were on charge of the camogie teams
