For the first time a group of children took part in a cycling skills programme. There were 25 children from fifth and sixth classes and the tutor was Pat Power, father of cyclist Kieran Power. After eight weeks the children were awarded certificates. Pat and his pupils all enjoyed the course and learned how to use a bicycle safely.
