We featured in the "Wild
Ireland" magazine as a result of the work the children had done on
environmental issues. We were delighted to see the school featured in the
magazine.
A kind subscriber to the magazine was so impressed with our efforts and she gave
us a present of three seed mats. In June, Junior Infants, Senior Infants
and fifth class each planted a seed mat in the bed which our caretaker John
Murphy had prepared. We were delighted that one of the mats was for a
butterfly garden. This was something which we were particularly interested
in. Hopefully we will have beautiful flowers in the bed soon.
Thank you to the Wild Ireland subscriber for the lovely present. We also planted a rose bed in close proximity to the seed mats all will improve further the appearance of our garden.
