St. Patrick’s Day

Patrick was not that old,
When he was taken to Green white and gold
His mother was frantic
When he was near the Atlantic
And offered a reward of gold.

St. Patrick

There was a young from Wales,
Who became the patron saint,
He was captured by Niall,
But just for a while
And then he banished the snakes

St. Patrick

There once was a very young saint
That banished all the snakes.
He came in 432
With a lot of work to do.
But alive anymore he ain’t.

Hurray, hurray it’s St Patrick’s day,
Put on your shamrock that’s what I say.
Green, white and gold everywhere,
And nobody has a single care.
Everyone’s happy and gay.

St Paddy’s Day is here,
Everybody is drinking beer,
A sea of Green, White and Gold
Blowing in the cold,
And now it’s over, back next year

Dean Murphy
