While on holiday in Paris this Summer, our school secretary Mrs. Martina O'Donoghue, dashed into a sports shop near the Champs Elyses to purchase a French soccer jersey. The shop was empty except for one customer who was buying a baseball cap.
Martina quickly recognised the customer as former world and European footballer of the year Zinedine Zidane.
Zinedine had recently starred for
France in their victory in Euro 2000.
He was happy to sign autographs and have his photograph taken
