Annual Street Festival
The annual Salmon/Street Festival takes place usually around the 9th July and lasts for 10 days. There are lots of fun events every day among the highlights are; International Evening, Heritage Day, Mardi Gras & Spectacular Fireworks at the end of the Festival.

Humbert International Summer School
The Humbert International Summer School takes place in Ballina.. This usually consists of a series of themed lectures that focus on History, Ireland’s Relations with Europe & US, Northern Ireland issues and other current topics. These debates are very popular with scholars both at home and abroad and usually take place in locations associated with General Humbert, the French General who landed in Killala Bay in 1798 to ‘liberate’ Ireland.
