Brief:-
The
client for this project is Domestic Appliances Limited, (DAL) an Irish owned
company which holds the selling & maintenance agencies for a number of
brands of domestic electrical washing machines, dishwashers, cookers and other
ancillary kitchen items.
The
company has outgrown their existing premises and your architectural practice
has been approached by DAL to design a new warehouse facility for them.
The
interior layout should include the following : -
>adequate
storage space to accommodates a minimum of 600 electrical units.
>a
repair & test area to accommodate maintenance of 24 electrical units.
>a
loading bay to accommodate two trucks with appropriate roller doors and
direct access with pallet loaders/ fork lifts.
>a
small display area located adjacent to the front of the entrance.
>Appropriate
space to accommodate offices.
>Appropriate
space to accommodate a receptionists area area adjacent to the front entrance.
>Toilet
facilities for office staff to the front of the building.
