Christmas concert in full swing

Beaumont B.N.S. has given many memorable and highly acclaimed
concerts over the years, both in and out of the school. As well as
being regular performers at the Cór Fhéile na Scoil and the Cork
International Choral and Folk dance festival, Beaumont Boys
also performed with distinction at lunchtime concert for Alliance
Francaise de Cork at city hall recently.

In School performances and concerts include many
Christmas/ Nativity/ Carol Concerts, which have become an annual
event, as well as Easter pageants and summer breaking-up Concerts
in the Halla Mór, all attended by the parents. Last Christmas (2000),
The boys performed magnificently at the Annual Carol Concert in
St. Michael's Church and were very well received. Unfortunately
this years Cór Fhéile (2001) was unavoidably cancelled at short
notice, due to the foot and mouth outbreak, but the school choir
have also given an Easter recital in St. Michaels. Church
for the Childrens' Mass of the Ascension last May.

However, by far the most outstanding concerts in the school's history have been

Joseph And His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat   (1993)

Joseph was performed in 1993 to commemorate Scoil Barra's
25 year history since 1968 and was staged in Scoil Ursula, Blackrock.

Excerpts From Oliver   (1996)

Oliver was performed in 1996 and was performed in the City Hall

Superstar   (1998)

Superstar, that original christmas pageant, with excerpts from Jesus
Christ Superstar and Godspell, was performed in 1998 at St. Michaels
Church, Blackrock

Bugsy Malone   (1995)

Bugsy malone was performed at Scoil Barra in 1995

Choreography, Casting, rehearsing etc. for all the school's
concerts have usually been done in conjunction with the Speech
and Drama Teachers, who also do tremendous work in preparing
the boys for the feis, both in class groups and individual events.
