  Beaumont BNS has always placed a very strong emphasis on sport as part of the development of the entire individual and while team sports like Hurling, Gaelic Football and Soccer would be the principal representative games, individual sports are also promoted (e.g Swimming, Athletics, Tennis)

  The school is very fortunate to have nearby legendary sports clubs like Blackrock National Hurling Club, St. Michaels National Gaelic Football Club, Cork Constitution R.F.C., Avondale Soccer Club each helping the school on a regular basis.

  Beaumont BNS has notched up many famous victories in Hurling, Gaelic Football and indoor hurling over the years and no less than fourteen of the Blackrock panel of 1999 who won the County were past pupils of the school

Hurling Coaching for all pupils takes place every Tuesday during school hours and for those pupils who are really keen, more training is available on Saturday mornings in Blackrock N.H.C. Everybody is welcome to attend.

Basketball training also takes place in school as well as athletics. Scoil Barra's list of achievements in Cork City Primary School Sports over the years speaks for itself.
