"Miss Mattie Platt of this village died Tuesday. Only a few knew ofher serious illness although her health had been impaired for somemonths, yet with characteristic courage and patience she went abouther daily duties until within a few days of the end of her life. Shewas the 2nd daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Giles Platt - the eldest daughterMrs. Edmond Tracy died some years ago. The father passed away in Nov.1907. Survived by her mother and one sister, Miss Ella Platt, onebrother Herman Platt and an uncle-------rest of clipping missing."
