'That this Council calls on the Minister for the Environment to establish a new Cork City Council based on Metropolitan Cork as identified in the Cork Area Strategic Study (CASP)'.

The report of the Director, Special Projects stated that as previously requested by the City Council, proposals for a boundary extension are being examined. It is intended that a report will issue to An Chomhairle shortly on this matter
