Fiona's Control Technology Project.

I'm putting the finishing touches to my car.

My car is now finished.

I enjoyed Lego because it was fun and enjoyable. We got to see the work of all the other schools involved in the project as well. We learned a lot about computers and how to animate our models. It was hard at first but as we got into the hang of things it was easy. Sometimes it did get very frustrating. I think Lego is great now.

When my school started Lego, I wasn't very interested. As time went by our teacher told us that we had a project to make with lego. First we decided to build the village of Mullinahone. We each got a job to do for the project. I got the job to build Killaghy castle. I am more than half way through the project and I love lego now. There are still lots of lego pieces I still don't know but hopefully I will get to know them before we are finished the project. The first thing I done was made the little machines in the yellow boxes. That is how we know how to use pulley's, axles, gears and levers.
Since Christmas we have started to build the village of Mullinahone. We all got a job to do and then got into pairs.
Una and I got the job to build Killaghy castle. We built the walls of the castle first with lego bricks. I built a jeep with beams and bricks. Later in the year I broke it up.
Una built the gates while I built a car. I built the base of it first, I used plates for that. Then I placed the r.c.x on the base of the car. I built up around the r.c.x mainly using beams. I couldn't build up around the infra red of the r.c.x. I put wheels on the car using axles for that. I put on two motors aswell with gears joining to them. I have been trying to program the car so it will follow the road. Una and I have started Killaghy castle using cardboard. We painted the cardboard black and then made the windows to stick on. The castle is nearly finished and so is our project.
