The
thing I liked most about lego this year was the village because I loved
playing with the little men.
I disliked the bridge because it took too long to get it working .
I love Lego. I can
remember the first time I saw it. Joe Pollard the local postman had brought
it into our school in cardboard boxes. The next day we played with it.
First of all I was in a group with Shane and Richie. We were building
a car. It was a good car. It was a just a two person job.
After Christmas we decided to do a project of Mullinahone. So I moved
on to work with Eoin and Darren building Charles J Kickham [the local
poet in Mullinahone]. We were trying to get him to follow a black line.
Then I wanted to work with Sean, Richie,Jim and Ciaran. I was allowed.
We were building a town with a pizza shop,a garage and we built some toilets.
Before Chrismas we went to a workshop in Kilkenny. There were other schools
there. They were BallyAdams and Clontubrid N.S.
After Christmas we
went off to the R.D.S in Dublin. We went to Dublin because we wanted to
see all the lego project in Ireland. There were alot of nice projects.
We came to school the next morning and we continued on in our project.
I was still making Charles J Kickham. At last we had finished him and
I was glad. Charles was to follow a black road. Then I had to make a bridge
with Eoin and that was easy. We painted the bridge black on a cardboardbox.
All we have to do now is to pull the bridge up and down. There will a
boat going under the bridge. Afterwards Mrs. Brett asked us would we like
to paint the board that we are putting the project on. So after that we
continued on with our bridge.
The next few days we finished the bridge. When Deirdre came to our school
we asked her could we do something else with it. She said that the bridge
was grand. Now we have the bridge done and we have Charles J Kickham done
as well.
