Date of Birth: 04/10/1954 Education:Attended University of Dallas and University of Minnesota Peter MacNicol is a versatile talent whose career has ranged from the subtle drama of the television series Chicago Hope to the broad comedy of Ghostbusters 2. He can also be seen in the feature films Bean and Baby Geniuses, the latter with Kathleen Turner and Christopher Lloyd. MacNicol made his film debut as the young Southern writer in love with Meryl Streep in Sophie's Choice. His other credits include Addams Family Values, Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Housesitter, Hard Promises and Heat. For television, MacNicol also starred in the series The Powers That Be, as well as the telefilms Abducted: A Father's Love and By the Dawn's Early Light. On stage, he starred on Broadway in Crimes of the Heart, Black Comedy/White Liars and The Nerd. He also has starred in New York Shakespeare Festival productions of Romeo and Juliet, Richard II and Twelfth Night, as well as Found a Peanut and Rum and Coke. MacNicol was born in Texas. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife Marsue. Peter enjoys playing the bagpipes and has been wed to Marsue Cumming since 1986. |
