New Extension for Belfast Climbing Wall

The new extension for the Ozone climbing wall has finally been agreed and

work is to begin the 1st August for approx. 3 weeks.

With a budget of £30,000 the extension is to fill the gap at the end of the

present wall and will comprise of a continuation of the leading section with

a new, 'steeper' bouldering section added to the very end and side. Also

planned is a new roof section to be built onto the existing wall, across the

central fin section. This should also extend the height by another metre or

so. Livingstone again won the tender to built the extension, which will be

their second climbing wall built in the north this year, after Tollymore.
