31-12-05: WDSL Shield 2006.
The formations for the Super Sevens Shield competitions for the forthcoming year have been announced. These formations also apply for the Cup competitions. Our teams are involved as follows:

17-12-05: Christmas Draw.
Our Christmas draw took place on Friday, 16th December in Kelly's Lounge and was a great success. A full list of winners can be seen by clicking here. Many thanks to everyone who supported the draw, especially our sellers, sponsors and Kelly's Lounge.

13-12-05: Parents Forum.
The recently run parents forum was a success with some new parents becoming involved in the club. Another forum will be held early next year.

23-11-05: Parents Forum.
Wolfe Tone Youth Club will hold an open forum for interested parents to express any ideas they may have for the running and improvement of the club. The meeting will be held in Wolfe tone Youth Club boardroom on Saturday 10 December at 11am. All interested parents are asked to attend. The meeting will cover all aspects of the club; field development, organised football, fundraising etc.

16-11-05: Christmas draw.
Managers please ensure tickets for the Christmas draw are distributed to members. Please return sold tickets and cash to James as soon as possible.

14-11-05: WDSL Christmas break.
The WDSL will close down for the Christmas/ New Year break after the last series of matches on Sunday 18th December. The first matches of 2006 will be held on week ending Saturday/ Sunday January 7/ 8th.

13-10-05: Christmas draw.
Tickets for our Christmas draw are currently being distributed for sale by our members. This is our annual major fundraising event and we ask everyone to give it their full support and effort. 23-09-05: Referees wanted.
If you are interested in refereeing seven-a-side games please e-mail info@wolfetoneyouthclub.com or contact any super sevens manager. The fee per game is €14.

20-09-05: Tesco Sports for schools and clubs.
Wolfe Tone Youth Club are collecting the Tesco vouchers and hope to collect enough vouchers to enable us to get some free sports gear. Vouchers can be given to any manager or left into the office.

14-09-05: Wrestling.
NWA wrestling returns to the centre this weekend (Sunday 18th at 7.30). Features are the tag team championship and the first ever Irish heavyweight title. Admission is €10 for adults and €8 for children under 12.

30-08-05: U8 Manager needed.
At present the club has players for a fourth U8 team but has nobody to manage the team. If any parent or group of parents are willing to run this team please contact Paul McManus on 086 819 3917. The time involved is one hour training per week and a game each weekend. The club will supply all training gear and all support required and FAI run courses are frequently held in the centre.

16-08-05: Trip to Kilkenny.
Best wishes to our U-8B and U-8C teams who are travelling to Ormonde Villas in Kilkenny next Saturday, 20th Aug. This follows from last year's visit by the Kilkenny side to Wolfe Tone.

17-07-05: Awards day.
Our annual Awards Day was held on Sunday 17th July in the Community Centre. All Super Sevens players were presented with medals as were our junior Academy members. Eleven a side awards were presented as follows:
Eamonn Carroll memorial trophy, manager of the year- Peter McGrath.
U-17 Player of the year- Jonathan Percy.
U-17 player's player of the year- Ciaran Dunne.
U-17 Clubman of the year- Gavin Harris.
Ned Kelly memorial shield- Kenny Greene.
U-15 Player of the year- Neil Doyle.
U-15 Player's player of the year- Ciaran Allen.
U-15 Clubman of the year- Briain Kirwan.
U-13 Player of the year- Matthew Browne.
U-13 Clubman of the year- Chris Nolan.

14-07-05: Gary on the mark for Ireland.
Ireland finished fifth in the CP-ISRA World Championships held in Connecticut this month. Gary Messitt of Wolfe Tone U-17 team scored in the first game, a 17-0 rout of Japan. The team lost their second Round One game 0-3 v Argentina. In Round Two they were defeated 0-4 by eventual competition winners Ukraine. Gary was on the scoreboard again in a 3-3 draw v USA. Their last Group game was a 1-2 defeat v Iran. In the play-off, they gained revenge by beating Argentina 3-0. The team finished fifth of 13 teams behind winners Ukraine, then Russia, Iran and the Netherlands.

14-07-05: New season
The club is gearing up for next season and players should contact their managers regarding training, teams etc. The season kicks off week ending August 27-28.

28-06-05: Presentation day
Wolfe Tone Youth Club celebrate the end of another successful season with our annual Presentation Day on Sunday 17th July at 3pm in the Centre. Players from Bray Wanderers will attend to present the medals and trophies.

16-06-05: Kennedy Cup call-up
Congratulations to Mikey Whyte, Wolfe Tone YC u-13, who has been called up to the Wicklow squad for the Kennedy Cup.

15-06-05: International
Hot on the heels of last year's Olympics, Wolfe Tone YC's u-17 player Gary Messitt travels with the Ireland squad to the USA to take part in the Paralympic World Football Championship. The squad fly out on Sunday 26th July to Connecticut for the two-week tournament. There are 14 teams involved and we wish Gary all the best.

14-06-05: New season
Planning for next season, Wolfe Tone Youth Club requires a manager and assistant to run an U-14 team and an U-11 team. Also, the U-13 team would like to hear from any interested players for next season. Players interested in joining teams at other age levels may also be accommodated. 06-06-05: WDSL Cup finals
Good luck to our U9B and U11 teams who take part in Cup finals this weekend. U9B play St. Fergals in the U9 Div. One Cup final on Saturday at 1.00. On Sunday at 12.30, U11 take on Rathnew in the U11 Div. One Cup final at 12.30. Both games take place at Celtic Park, Arklow.

AGM- 31st May 2005
The club's AGM will take place in the boardroom on Tuesday 31st May 2005 at 8.00. It is vital that all members attend as we need more people involved in running the club.

22-05-05: Mini World Cup
We are running a mini World Cup for next season's U8, U9 and U10 players starting on Tuesday 31 May. The U8's will play on Tuesdays with games at 6.30 and 7.30 while the U9/ U10's will play on Wednesdays with the same starting times. Details of the U8 competition can be found by clicking *Link removed* and the U9-U10 competition *Link removed* Please note that the U9-U10 competition actually kicks off on Thursday 2 June due to U9B's cup semi final game on Wednesday.

22-05-05: Double winners!
Congratulations to Wolfe Tone U-15 who have won the Frank Cox Cup to add to their Division 15B title in the DDSL. They beat Mountview Boys 1-0 in the final. The side have lost just once in the League all season.

22-03-05: FAI Pepsi Summer soccer schools.
The FAI Pepsi summer soccer school will be run in Wolfe Tone YC during the week July 4th- July 8th. Full information including online booking is available on the FAI website.

22-03-05: U-15's flying high in DDSL.
Wolfe Tone YC u-15 team are just five points away from being assured of winning Division 15B in the DDSL. They currently lead the table by 11 points from Mountview Boys. As last year's U-14 team they won the U-14 Premier Division Shield in the WDSL. We wish them all the best in their quest for further silverware.
PS: Wolfe Tone YC U-15 have qualified for the final of the Frank Cox Cup to be played weekend 21-22 May. They meet Mountview Boys in the final which will be played in the AUL complex.

20-03-05: U-11 trip abroad.
Good luck to the under elevens who travel to participate in this year's Solar Cup tournament in Liverpool over Easter.

13-03-05: St. Patricks day Parade.
Must be at St Thomas's School between 2:15 and 2:30 at latest on Thursday 17th. Parents dropping off children should come to St Thomas's via Putland Rd and Meath Rd dropping kids off for each Manager to take their Team Members into Position 11 in the School Grounds. There will be NO PARKING near the school. Parents should meet the Parade at the Esplanade Hotel on the Seafront at about 3:30 approximately to collect their children from the Team Manager. Please dress for the weather but if possible wear the Team Jersey over your clothes to create as much Club colour as possible. Bring Irish Flags if you have one to create some colour.

02-03-05: WDSL Easter arrangements.
There will be a blanket closure of WDSL fixtures on Easter Saturday and Sunday, March 26 and 27.

02-03-05: WDSL Cup draws made.
The draws for the various WDSL Cup competitions were made at the monthly management meeting in Kilcoole on Thursday last, 24 Feb.
U9 Premier Division Cup: Wolfe Tone A v Arklow Town A.
U9 Division One Cup: Arklow Town C v Wolfe Tone B; Wolfe Tone C- bye.
U10 Premier Division Cup: Greystones B v Wolfe Tone A.
U10 Division One Cup: Wolfe Tone B- bye.
U11 Division One Cup: Wolfe Tone- bye to SF.
U12 Division One Cup: Wolfe Tone- bye to QF.
U13 Division One Cup: Wolfe Tone v Little Bray Celtic.
The first ties are not expected to be played until after Easter.

02-03-05: Bray Volunteer Bureau.
The official launch of the Bray Volunteer was held in the Little Flower Hall on Friday last, 25 Feb. Wolfe Tone Youth Club were in attendance and are registered with the Bureau. Phone 2040885.

10-02-05: Gary Messett honoured.
Gary Messett, Wolfe Tone YC u-17, was honoured along with Bray Emmetts at a civic reception in Bray Town Hall last week.Gary was a member of the Irish soccer squad which took part in the Paralympic Games in Athens last summer. Town clerk Catherine Halligan welcomed everyone to the reception and she congratulated Gary on his achievements in the Paralympics. She made a presentation of a Newbridge Glass picture frame to Gary. (Bray People).

09-02-05: Membership fees.
Club members are reminded that some membership fees for season 2004-05 are still outstanding. These fees are overdue and should be paid in full as soon as possible.

09-02-05: FAI Pepsi camp returns.
The FAI Pepsi Summer soccer school returns to Wolfe Tone Youth Club this Summer. This year's camp will be held on the week beginning Monday July 4th. Full details will follow later.

09-02-05: St. Patricks Day parade.
Wolfe Tone Youth Club will be participating in this year's revived St. Patricks Day parade in Bray. Full details to follow.

23-01-05: Under Eight regrading.
The regrading of the under eight super sevens has taken place. Wolfe Tone A move up to Green (from white), Wolfe Tone B move up to Gold (from Red) and two new teams Wolfe Tone C and Wolfe Tone D both enter Division Purple.
