Procedure for visiting the school :

Parents are welcome to visit the school to discuss any matter relating to their child. In order to facilitate everyone parents should:

  1. Give prior notice of their desire to visit the school - preferably giving the reason. This will enable the Parent and Teacher arrange a time that is mutually convenient.
  2. Indicate the staff member you wish to see e.g. Principal, Deputy-Principal, Year Head, Class Teacher, Guidance/Counsellor etc.
  3. Become fully conversant with all the facts when a problem of a serious nature arises. It is only then a solution can be found. Experience has shown that it is most undesirable to have conflict between home and school. It is in these situations that the concept of partnerships, and mutual respect must be remembered. Remember, a Teacher may have to deal with 150 to 175 children every day - a very taxing day indeed. Storming into a school and demanding instant solutions simply does not work. Very often it causes unnecessary friction and conflict and makes a solution much more difficult to find.
