The awards are presented on tow occasions during the year

• Student of the Year and Sport Awards in May each year

• Academic Awards in September each year

Selection Procedure for Awards

Student of the Year

A student will have to receive a written nomination from a teacher to be eligible for an award. These nominations will go before a panel.

The student of the year for each year and the overall senior student of the year will be decided by this panel.

Individual Sports Awards

Winners will be selected by their coaches. The winner will then be submitted to a board.

Scholarship

These awards will be of a substantial nature and will be based on points achieved in the Leaving Certificate examination and will be presented in early September.

Gold Medals

On the academic front a gold medal for excellence will be awarded in each subject area in the Leaving Certificate class.
