Guidance and Counselling The students are well catered for in this area by Mr. Jim Duhig, our qualified Guidance Counsellor. Ø The Guidance Counsellor is available on an appointment basis for all students and parents throughout the school year for:
Ø Students undertake Psychometric Tests, the results of which provide valuable information relating to each student’s personality, intelligence and interests. Ø All Sixth Year students have formal Career
Guidance classes on a weekly basis as well as receiving individual help
regarding their post Leaving Certificate options.
Ø All Third Year students receive guidance on a one-to-one basis prior to making decisions regarding subject options at Senior Cycle. Ø Students travel to ‘College Open Days’ and Careers
Exhibitions in addition to having access to an up-to-date Careers Library
containing career and college literature, videos and computer packages.
