Christmas Draw.
A reminder that the Christmas Draw takes place this Friday 15th December in Kelly's Lounge. All are welcome on the night.

11-12-06: U-11 Futsal update.
Our u-11A team qualified for their Divisional final in the inaugural Futsal tournament being held in Kilcoole. They won their three League games and will play Wicklow Rovers B in the final on 30th December. On Saturday 9th December, Wolfe Tone B also qualified for their final, where they will play Enniskerry.

04-12-06: Christmas draw tickets reminder.
Members are reminded to please return their Christmas draw tickets at the earliest opportunity.

25-11-06: World Champion.
Congratulations to Katie Taylor who returned with her boxing gold medal today to turn on the Christmas lights in Bray.

24-11-06: Weekend washout.
Both the Vevay (Super-Sevens) and Ballywaltrim (all pitches) are closed this weekend after the recent deluge so a lot of games are off.

21-11-06: U-11 Futsal tournament.
The FAI-run Futsal tournament for u-11's kicks off next Saturday, 25th November in Colaiste Chraobh Abhann, Kilcoole. Wolfe Tone A and B are both entered in the competition. The full list of fixtures and rules is now available- *Link removed*

16-11-06: The Devlin School of Irish dancing.

08-11-06: Academy News Page.
We have added an Academy News page where Ciarán will keep everyone informed of the latest news and events concerning the Academy. Click on the link above.

21-10-06: Long weekend.
There will be no Academy next weekend, 28-29 October. Also, apart from U8C, there are no Super Sevens fixtures.

18-10-06: Christmas draw.
How time flies. The tickets for our Christmas draw are currently being distributed to members. The draw will take place in Kelly's Lounge on Friday 15th December. To see the full list of prizes, click here.

18-10-06: FAI run Futsal tournament.
The WDSL in conjunction with the FAI will run a Futsal tournament for u-11's in November and December. The tournament takes place in Kilcoole on Nov. 25, Dec. 2, 9 and 16. The rules of the game are **link removed**

26-09-06: Addition to Executive.
The club is pleased to welcome Con Salmon as a member of the Executive committee. Con has been involved in the club over many years.

26-09-06: Law on child restraints.
Under EU law all children under the age of 11/12 must be in an appropriate child car seat. As this has implications for people carrying children to and from games, please see the following links:

20-09-06: Tesco vouchers.
The club are once again looking for your Tesco Sport for Schools & Clubs vouchers. Last year was very successful with the club receiving a lot of gear. The vouchers can be returned to the centre or to any club member.

13-09-06: Referees wanted.
Due to the severe shortage of referees in the WDSL the club are seeking people interested in refereeing Super Sevens and eleven-a-side games. Full fees will be paid for each game reffed. If interested, e-mail info@wolfetoneyouthclub.com or contact any club member.

06-09-06: New U-8 teams.
Following our appeal for an U-8 manager, the parents involved held a meeting with the result that we will have two new U-8 teams competing this year. Well done to all concerned.

02-09-06: New rental rates for Centre.
We are increasing the hourly rental rates for the Club from the 1st of October. It is with regret that we have to do this but due to the costs of running and maintaining the Centre, it has to be done. As a result the increase is detailed as follows:
Main Hall: €23 per hour.
Small Room: €10 per hour.
Boardroom: €15 per hour.
Balcony Area: €15 per hour.
Partys: €40 per hour.
Hall, Upstairs Kitchen, Balcony Area, two hours: €80.

26-08-06: U-8 Manager urgently required.
The club is seeking a manager for an u-8 team for the new season. As a result of the success of the Academy, we have a team ready to go but need someone to manage it. If interested, contact the centre or e-mail info@wolfetoneyouthclub.com

16-08-06: Website update.
Please bear with us as we update the site for the new season- new information on teams, players, divisions will be added as it becomes available. The site may be a bit messy in the meantime but normal service will be resumed very soon!

08-08-06: Academy back to school.
The Academy resumes on Saturday morning, 12 August- 9.30 til whenever! Contact Ciaran 086 067 2922, kids age 5-7.

16-07-06: Presentation Day 2006.
The club held it's annual Presentation Day on Sunday 16th July in a packed Community Centre. All Super-Sevens players received club medals as did the members of the Academy. The awards were presented by Bray Wanderers players Kieran Tarzan O'Brien and Robbie Doyle, both former player with the Youth Club. U-9A received the Division One Shield and were also runners-up in League Division One. U-9B were League Division Two runners-up and U-10A were Division One runners-up. The eleven-a-side award winners were as follows:

U-18 Players Player of the Year: Seamus O'Gorman.
U-18 Player of the Year: Ciaran Dunne.
U-18 Clubman of the Year: Adam Douglas.
Ned Kelly Memorial trophy: Johnno Percy.

U-16 Clubman of the Year: Philly Dunne.

13-07-06: Academy.
Ciaran is organising a kick-around for the smaller Academy kids on Saturday morning, 15th July at 10.30. 5-6 year olds welcome.

12-07-06: Application forms.

04-07-06: Players needed.

07-06-06: Exams.
Good luck to any club members starting their exams today. Shouldn't you be studying now??

06-06-06: Club Presentation day.
The annual club presentation day/ club party will take place on Sunday 16th July at 3pm in the centre. Players from Bray Wanderers will be on hand to present the medals. All managers are requested to get a list of relevant names to Ron before June 20th.

06-06-06: WDSL Presentation Days.
The first WDSL presentation day for u9- u16's will take place in the Grand Hotel, Wicklow, on Saturday next, 10th June from 11.45 to 5pm. Our u9A's (League runners-up), u9B's (League runners-up, Shield winners) and u10A's (League runners-up) will attend- Manager and captain from each team.
On Sunday 11th, the annual u-8's presentation of certificates for all players takes place at the same venue. Details of times available from the relevant managers.

06-06-06: U-16's lose out.
Wolfe Tone U16s lost on Sunday last, 4 June, to Trinity S & L in what was the League decider- the final score was 4-2. Wolfe Tone deserved to get something out of the game, however their luck was out on the day. The scorers were Neil Doyle & Ashley Mc Donagh. Wolfe Tone would like to congratulate Trinity on winning the League.
**On Sunday 11th June, U16s lost their final game against St Kevins Boys 2-3 to finish 3rd in their league. The scorers Neil Doyle & Ashley Mc Donagh.

AGM.
The club's AGM will take place on Tuesday 30th May at 8.00 in the Boardroom. All members are requested to attend.

29-05-06: U-16's still in the hunt.
Wolfe Tone U16s won a tight fought game on Sunday when they beat St Malachys 3-2 to keep up their chances of winning their league, the scorers were Andy Buckley,Paul Melia,and Ben Rooney

28-05-06: Shield winners.
Congratulations to our u9a team who captured the Division One Shield on Friday last, 26 May. They beat Ardmore B 2-1 in the final , Daniel Treanor and Daniel Geraghty scored the goals.

26-05-06: Containers delivered.
On Thursday morning, 25th May, the club took possession of two 40 ft. containers which will be used for storage, etc. A large force of workers was out to ensure everything went smoothly. Buller and his troops kept the lane free of traffic, telling those who asked that we were shooting a low budget movie! The offer of the chance to appear as extras had no takers.

14-05-06: Shield Final.
We wish every success to our U9A team who will contest the Division One Shield Final versus Ardmore B on Friday next, 26 May. The game takes place at St. Anthonys, Kilcoole, kick off at 6.30pm.

25-04-06: Best wishes.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery to Warren Carton, u-18 goalkeeper, who unfortunately broke his leg in a game on Sunday last.

10-04-06: FAI Pepsi camp.
The FAI Pepsi summer soccer camp will be hosted be Wolfe Tone from July 3rd- 7th. Entry forms from the club or online. .

07-04-06: Easter break.
There will be no WDSL Super-seven's game on Easter weekend, 15-16 April.

20-03-06: Parent's Forum, Saturday 25th March.
We have some very exciting plans for the future of our club. To explain these plans in more detail and to get feedback on our activities generally, we have arranged a Parent's Forum for Saturday 25th March at 11.00 in the Community Centre. We would be delighted to see you there and to hear from you regarding our plans.

17-03-06: St. Patricks Day greetings.
Happy St. Patricks Day to everyone from all at Wolfe Tone Youth Club.

11-03-06: U-11's in last eight of national Cup.
Congratulations to our U-11 team who have qualified for the quarter-finals of the SFAI Menton-Seery national Cup. They beat St. Josephs Boys 1-0 after extra time in a thrilling game on Saturday morning. The team soaked up tremendous pressure throughout, working tirelessly with Aaron Power outstanding in goals. The winning goal came midway through the first period of extra time with Nathan Watters header from a free kick hitting the back of the net. The Club wishes them good luck in the last eight.

21-02-06: Kick Start Two.
A Kick Start Two course will be held in the club on 21-23 April. Any managers or assistants who have completed Kick Start One and who wish to book a place on this course should contact Paul McManus as early as possible.

20-02-06: U-11's to face Joey's.
Wolfe Tone u-11 face an away trip to St. Joseph's Boys A in the last sixteen of the SFAI Menton-Seery National Cup. The team overcame Bay FC from Dundalk in the last round and we wish them all the best as they take on Joey's.

14-02-06: Thomas Worrall R.I.P.
It is with deep regret that we record the passing of Thomas 'Tombo' Worrall. Thomas was deeply involved in the club through managing teams and as an Executive member for many years. His remains will be removed to Queen of Peace Church on Wednesday evening, 15th Feb. All our teams are asked to observe a minute's silence in remembrance this weekend. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

24-01-06: Richie Doyle Charity Night.
In aid of the Irish Heart Foundation to raise funds for the vital purchase of heart defibrillators for local sports clubs and schools and towards a national screening centre.
Selection of signed Premiership and Irish rugby jerseys for auction including Damien Duff's Chelsea jersey. Fantastic prizes- LCD TV's, DVD players plus much more.
Music followed by DJ til late. Martello, Seafront, Bray- Wed. 1st February- 8pm sharp. Admission only €5.
