I am an oystercatcher. I am a large bird. I am about 43cms long. I have a long orange bill and black and white plumage. In winter I have a white collar. I am a wader and I have long red legs. My Irish name is roilleach. I am a noisy bird. I live in Ireland. In winter some of my friends come from Sweden. I fly to Mother of Divine Grace in winter and look for worms in the grass. Sometimes the children look out at me and my friends. I have a lot of friends. We fly in flocks.
