Family says they were "Boghill people". There is a townland nearKillycoonagh named Boughill. A storm lifted their roof off and theymoved to Kearney's Island, which is toward Annakilly, a right turnnear Clones, Co. Monaghan. The boggy area may have made the locationinto a sort of island, though it doesn't seem to exist today.
James / John was also said to be a steward (ie. caretaker) of theBallinure House & estate, near Clones. This may explain how hisgrandaughter McGuinn got a job there when she was about 16/17.
[822] Storm lifted roof off, so moved in -- Kearney's island
