28/5/06:
CHAMPIONS !!!! Congrats to Eddie O'Callaghan and Noel
Murray, whose troops in the
AUL Div3 Sunday
have pulled off an amazing title win in their first season at
senior level. They only finished schoolboy football last season.
Who said you will win nothing with a bunch of kids! Alan
Hansen is proved wrong once again. They defeated Intel 2-0 away
with goals from Billy Thompson, who has shone in the final
quarter of the season, and Simon Fleming, who has been
tremendously consistent up front in the run-in to the title
victory. Well done lads on a job well done.
